So flat pedals are probably gonna be more for you don't you know fall into any pressure either way right like if you enjoy the feeling of flat pedals and you throw your foot off pretty often and that makes you feel comfortable when you ride just stick with that there's been a lot of people who have you know everyone kind of starts out on flat pedals and then they think like oh I should ride clipped in because my couple of my riding buddies that are much more advanced than me they ride clipped in so they try riding clipped in they hate it they fall over all the time they probably don't really get through the learning curve as quickly as they thought they would and they just don't enjoy it and if you don't enjoy being clipped in you're gonna feel uncomfortable on your bike and you're going to be out there you're gonna feel cautious around a switchback like you're gonna tip over your you know stressing about it every time you come to a stop like you're not gonna be able to get out in time or stressing about it when you're in a sketchy section you take a foot off and you not be able to get it back on if it's making you uncomfortable at all when you're riding mountain bikes don't ride clipped in, just ride flat pedals
